Terms of Service
Last updated: June 9, 2026
These terms cover orders placed with PhantomPrints, a custom 3D printing studio in Sewanee, Tennessee. By requesting a quote or placing an order, you agree to them. They're written to be read — if anything is unclear, just ask before you order.
Quotes and payment
- Quotes are free and valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise.
- Custom orders require a 50% deposit after you approve the quote and before modeling or printing begins. The balance is due before your order ships. Simple or in-stock items under $50 may be charged in full upfront.
- We accept major credit cards via Stripe, plus PayPal and Venmo for certain orders.
- Rush production (2–3 business days) is available for an additional fee, typically 25–50% of the order total, subject to queue availability.
Design approval and revisions
- For custom-modeled items (pet statues, custom Minjas, complex projects) we send a 3D render for your approval before printing.
- One revision is included in the base price. Additional revisions may incur a small design fee, which we'll tell you about before doing the work.
- Once you approve the design and printing begins, the design is considered final.
Turnaround and shipping
- Most orders ship within 5–10 business days of deposit; complex multi-color or large orders may take up to 14 days.
- We ship within the United States via USPS Priority Mail or UPS, with tracking on every order. International shipping may be available for select orders — ask first.
- Estimated dates are good-faith estimates, not guarantees, except for paid rush orders where we commit to a production window.
Returns, refunds, and our reprint guarantee
- We stand behind every print. If your item arrives damaged or has a clear manufacturing defect, send us a photo within 5 days of delivery and we'll reprint it at no charge.
- Because every item is custom-made to your specifications, we do not accept returns or issue refunds once printing has begun.
- If you cancel before printing begins, we'll refund your deposit minus any design work already completed.
Your files and designs
- You keep ownership of files, photos, and designs you send us. You give us permission to use them solely to produce your order.
- By sending us a file or photo, you confirm you have the right to have it printed. We may decline jobs that infringe someone else's intellectual property or that we're not comfortable producing.
- Custom models we sculpt remain our work product; you're welcome to the printed piece, and we're happy to discuss purchasing the digital file separately.
Printed live on stream
Orders are typically printed live at kick.com/phantomprints — it's part of the fun, and we'll let you know when yours is queued so you can watch. If you'd prefer your order printed off-stream, tell us in your quote request and we will keep it private at no charge.
What 3D prints are (and aren't)
- FDM 3D prints have visible layer lines and small surface variations — that's the nature of the craft, not a defect. We photograph and stream our work so you know exactly what to expect.
- Unless explicitly agreed, prints are decorative items. They are not food-safe, not rated for safety-critical use, and not toys for children under 3 (small parts).
- Colors on screen may differ slightly from physical filament.
Liability
Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We're a small studio that makes things with care; we can't accept liability for indirect or consequential damages from the use of a printed item.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top reflects the latest version. Orders are governed by the terms in effect when you paid your deposit. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.
